After the encouraging replies earlier about NetBSD 2.0 compatibility on
my IBM PS/2 Model 70 with 3C523 MCA ethernet I decided to give it a try
and booted with boot-ps2-[12].fs.
Unfortunately things did not work as well as I had hoped. Here's a
typeout of the screen output:

The _ in the last line is a rapidly blinking white cursor. The rest of
the characters is green. That's all. The keyboard's lock LEDs can still
be switched, but no reaction on the screen to any keys. It just sits
there hanging...


A few strange things here
I think the total mem should be 1024 x 6 KB = 6144 KB?
Is the "IBM Dual Async Adapter not configured" OK?
Why doesn't it recognize the 3c523's IRQ (which is set to 12, BTW; could
I somehow explicitly tell the kernel?)
Why does it recognize isa0???? Does this system have an ISA bus??? Could
that be an issue one it tries to use the VGA console?
The machine runs Linux 2.0.38 with no problems, BTW.

I'd really appreciate your feedback. Please let me know if there's
anything I should try.
