I guess it is like in modern PCs e.g. Pentium IV systems. While they
don't have any ISA slots they still have an ISA bus to connect legacy
devices like the PS/2 mouse and keyboard, the floppy controller or the
serial port(s). The only difference in current systems is that they
support configuring the devices via ACPI which avoids having to probe
for them.
