I experience very odd 'ring buffer' repeat states in the IBM X31 audio
(which also reports as an auich device) under Linux compat mode. in kphone,
it seems to never recognize the read and move the pointer on in /dev/audio
or /dev/dsp.

So I also think there are issues with the audio on IBM, on this chipset.
