Maybe. Activity monitoring can be done in the hardware-independent
part, like wsmux.=20

Yes, it doesn't fire when X runs either ( not a bad thing, but... )
Hmm, maybe hacking wscons to allow opening wsmouse, wskbd and do on with
mode=3D0 would work, after all we're not interested in the data flowing
through, only in the information that there is activity.
