Just wanted to let people know that 3.0_RC5 installed without a hitch
on a VIA EPIA CL6000E. I haven't tested the sound yet, but other
people have mentioned that the sound device is supported, and GENERIC
seems to recognize it just fine. It boots without complaint with no
keyboard attached.
The RAM is one DIMM of "Corsair 512MB DDR266 PC2100 Value Select".
I did a floppy/FTP install using boot1.fs and boot2.fs, and disabled
the primary IDE channel in the BIOS because I have only one HD
attached. I'm not sure why it's using Ultra/100 mode on the drive
rather than Ultra/133. Perhaps I misread the docs of either the board
or the HD (a Samsung SP2514N).
The only other slightly odd thing is that the onboard video poaches
RAM from the main system. The least amount it'll take is 16MB, which
is why the kernel sees only 495MB total.
Here's the GENERIC dmesg:

total memory = 495 MB
avail memory = 476 MB
