I had the same problem when i activated=20

options        ACPI_ACTIVATE_DEV

on the kernel, try to desactivate this option and the cdrom should work,
i don't know yet how to make wireless + cdrom working, because if you desac=
tivate this option wireless card only work on boot time, after some time, i=
t stop to respond, no off no on...
