Hi Thnkpad NetBSD folks,
	I had been using a Thinkpad T42 with NetBSD 2.0 both off and on a 
port replicator for some time without any specific issues (external PS/2
mouse and keyboard, ethernet, USB ports). The port replicator doesn't
show up as anything  - it appears transparent to all these devices.

I installed NetBSD 3.0 today:

If the Thinkpad is started on the port replicator, it boots and goes into
userland OK.  If I use wscons to get to a virtual terminal, I can login etc,
and use it pretty much as I like but as soon as I switch to another virtual
console it hangs. Sometimes I can login to the kdm/xdm screen and use X,
but mostly it hangs.
(hang => no ping, black screen with white cursor in upper left).

If the Thinkpad is started off the port replcator All is Good. I can
switch virtual terminals at any time, login to X, etc.

(Remote telnet logins are fine in both cases.)

The one signficant difference I can find regards the mouse recognition;
booting off the port replicator I get (this is also different from nb2.0):

pms0 at pckbc0 (aux slot)

while booting on the port replicator I get:

I tried a custom kernel with: 

	options  PMS_SYNAPTICS_TOUCHPAD

commented out but with no change in function.


If anyone has experince with this problem I'd appreciate any help.
