make them work on NetBSD/i386 -current:

Thanks to everyone who offered advice on the MBR/Partitioning issues. I
was ready to jump off the Smithfield St. Bridge if I burned another day
fighting with legacy PC hardware stupidity! I can't stand knucklehead
stuff like that. I guess the OpenBSD MBR/1st/2nd is just more
tolerant/resilient when it comes to disk geometry issues. >:}
