After a failed attempt at getting a hold of an Asus A7V K8T800
Pro, I'm again looking for a motherboard that is well supported
under NetBSD for a tower server. What current chipsets and/or
motherboards are well supported under 3.x and/or 4.x? I'm looking
for something to replace a NetBSD 3.x box containing the following:
ATX Motherboard
PCI Ultra SCSI Host Adapter
PCI video card
2xPCI ethernet
and add a SATA (preferably 3G/II) controller. If I can get the
on-board devices to work well in place of the PCI, that would be
great, or if I can get a board with enough PCI slots, I can reuse
the ones I have.
Any suggestions (or anti-suggestions) would be appreciated. I
would tend towards the AMD 939 or AM2 chips, but would consider
alternatives.
Many thanks.
