Re: NetBSD and the Intel D945GCLF(2) board..
I have been running NetBSD 4.0 on a D945CLF board for some time and have
not experienced any problems. I ran a benchmark (audio processing pipeline)
and compared the performance to various other machines:

With hyperthreading the performance is roughly equal to a 1.1 GHz Pentium M,
which is in line with what Intel says, and more than adequate for a home server.
The processor has a small heat sink and keeps quite cool. The chipset has
a somewhat larger heat sink with a rather noisy fan.

I've got my eyes on the atom-based Intel Desktop Essentials board, more
specifically either the D945CLF or the D45CLF2, as I can get these for cheap.
While they are not ideal (It would be great to have more than one NIC..), I
think I can get around that, and the price makes up for a lot. Does anyone
have experiences with running these boards?
