file copy errors during install in VBOX

Dear All

I keep getting file copy errors in VirtualBox 1.5.6 OSE  during
installation for base.tgz - different files fail at different
attempts.

I run XUbuntu 8.0.4.2 kernel 2.6.25-23. I checked the MD5SUM and SHA-1
sum and it is correct - re-downloaded the image no luck.

FreeBSD install is smooth. 6 months back I had installed amd64 port
without problems.

My guess is that  this is a VBOX on Linux issue, just wanted a second
opinion before I post on the VBOX forum.
