Ok. The reason I thought otherwise was because I had tried that and
it did not work. I just made sure that I have the amd64 /dev/MAKEDEV,
regenerated the device files, and tools like disklabel and ifconfig
still error out, reporting devices not being configured...
What else could I have missed?
