In dinking around with the serial drivers (trying to get lpd to play nice
with an Imagewriter II), a few problems seem to have crawled out of the
woodwork:

1) Output XON/XOFF flow control appears to have a huge latency--up to
512 bytes. (ser_intr() does not check TS_TTSTOP).

2) seropen() clobbers device settings before checking to see if the
port is already in use.

3) There's an intermittent bug that is freezing up the serial port.
(serstart() either isn't writing a character to the SCC, or the SCC
isn't irupting for next character). Once the port is hung, unable to
kill the lpd process that is trying to use it.

So.... is anyone claiming the serial drivers right now, or should I
go ahead and work on fixes?
