Over SLIP, PPP or Ethernet, it's an X11R6, so you can run X server
elsewhere and clients on the Mac. For example, you can run XFree86
server on your linux box and log in to MacBSD from there, and run
whatever you want, in whatever resolution and color settings the
XFree86 server supports.
That's the beauty of X... :-) It is just that X server on MacBSD supports
only B&W (= 1bit color depth) at the moment.

Probably, you need a little more space especially if you are going to
install a lot of free software. We do have binary packages, but the
number of packages are probably much smaller than that of linux.
