*sigh* This is a known problem. Paul Goyette's patch that he posted
last night will prevent the problem from happening by (effectively)
disabling linked commands. There appears to be a bug in handling
those properly. You don't want the 1.0 SCSI driver back.
I'll post an updated 1.1 kernel later today.
