As far as I know, there are efforts in all three free BSD camps
(FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD). There is not a public mailing list
specifically for any of those efforts. No one else is targetting
Apple PowerPC-based hardware (as far as I know) because of the
lack of documentation. I'm going to be working on the PowerMac 8500
because that's what I've got. I haven't really started on that except
to gather documentation and to starting thinking about OpenFirmware.
I've started working on my Q700 again to get a faster cross-compile...
In any case, people are working on whatever PowerPC hardware they have
access to and that they can get documentation for. The Motorola
PowerStacks or single-board computers are likely to be the first
machines to run {Free,Open,Net}BSD...
