Hmmmmmmmm. . . . . Try commenting out the AUTH
module in Configuration.  I didn't use it, I also
didn't use the referrer log, and some other modules
it suggested were pretty optional (cookies,
etc...).  Type Configure.  I don't know if it 
would compile using all of the modules, since I 
didn't need them.

Read the Makefile, comment out the SUN4 area in the
makefile (Why not?).  Seems to be the default
configuration to compile for SunOS, which didn't
work! 

Make sure GCC is setup correctly on your machine.  
You might need to edit your LD_LIBRARY_PATH to 
fudge it to work.

If it still doesn't work, let me know.  I can 
figure out a way to send you the binary file.

Have you tried CERN 3.0? (Just curious).

Yes.  And GCC 2.4.

I made perl last night.  Took hours, but no 
complaints from the configuration scripts.
