Don't forget to do (as root)
ldconfig /usr/X11R6/lib (and preferably add it in your rc.local too)
So kill me if that's bad advice ;-)

--Nah. I installed it there (the binaries expand to that), and just did a
very simple mv command to put them in the correct place. Makes no
difference, afaik.

-- /usr/X11R6/bin, rather. If desperate try just moving the files, rather
than a link, for all the difference it makes ;)
