I seriously doubt it. At least not the error message. The solution probably
is, but the error message... that's pretty weird. I think i've got an idea
about it, though. Read below.

I may be way off base here, but I'd say you didn't create a swap partition,
judging strictly by the partition size numbers you gave. A 5 mb mac will
need at *least* 10 megs swap space, and the official recommendation is...
swap+physical >= 20 megs. I'd say trim your root partition down by 20
megs and create a 20 meg swap partition. To quote someone (I forget who)
from a post way back about something like this... "If that's not your problem
now, then it soon will be."
