Yes, I feel smart now. It's a Performa 575 with a full 68040 in it, not
the LC040 that it shipped with.

I don't have a problem with downgrading to 7.1. (Mainly b/c copying a file
with a 040, System 7.5.3, and RamDoubler = freeze, so I'm not running
RamDoubler.)

I tried hooking my Classic II up via a straight pass thru cable and booted
from serial console. This got further than ever before, the screen turned
white, and then it crashed...What sort of cable and what terminal emulation
should i be using? I'm assuming I should use a tty. None of my comm
programs offer tty, however.

Thanks.
