Thanks for all the helpful replies on this.  They help solve much of my
problem.  I do still have one thing that needs work.  When I telnet to my
shell account on my ISP, the term is using vt220 which is set for co#80
and li#25 (or 24 I don't remember).  I only use half my screen.  My
problem is when I break back out to my own system, I'm still in that mode,
using half my screen.  My local system is also using vt220 mode with co#80
and li#24, but I still am able to use the entire screen before the telnet
session.  Is this a termcap entry problem that can be fixed just by making
a new entry or is this a slightly more complex problem?  Which route
should I take?
