The Apple formatter has handled multiple partitions for as long as I can
remember. Just hit the Partition button and take it from there. (The A/UX
auto-setups will create an Eschatology partition, which you will probably
want to delete.)
As an aside someone on the A/UX newsgroup did some Think C compile tests a
couple of years ago and found that under MacOS the Apple disk drivers were
about 30% faster than most of the third party formatters' drivers. I think
FWB came close, but *nobody* was faster than Apple.
I don't agree with the common wisdom that says the Apple formatter sucks.
Given the patch so it works on non-Apple drives, I think it is a decent
program without the clutter of features I don't need or care about.
Signature failed Preliminary Design Review.
Feasibility of a new signature is currently being evaluated.
