I have been perusing faq's and how-to documents and fiddling around with my
system for hours on end, but yet I have not been able to make out how to
connect with pppd (using either chat or kermit) with my ISP.  Usually the
connection just hangs there and then it says "connect script failed."

My kernel is the nfs kernel from wormhole, if that information is of any use.

Any hints, such as what to put in the different /etc configuration files,
et cetera, will be welcomed.
