Sorry Hauke,
but AFAIK Scott is right. Apple tells anyone _not_ to hot-swap ADB
devices. This is because you _may_ kill some ADB circuitry. And those
kinda chips are damn expensive. Even any Mac-Mag I can think of are
telling their users not to do it. So I presume it is a general hardware
issue. Maybe you should try some serial port devices. There hot swapping
is no problem at all.
You may take a look at the ADB technotes too concerning ADB hot swapping.
