This is *way* out of date.  The 550 has been working with a fully 
functional ADB (thanks to Walter Ruetten) and local video since the first 
of the year.  Only recently with the changes to internal video support 
and mapping has the local video under X stopped working. However, dt 
works fine with the latest Kernels and the ADB is still functional (using 
the MRG routines).  Of course the system does also work with the Serial 
Console in all Kernels that I know of since the first of the year. The 
9/26/95 Wittkoski Kernel was the first with a working Serial Console on 
the 550.
