To clarify: some of the answer depends on what machine you might be running.
MacBSD is merely a port of NetBSD to the macintosh line of computers
(netbsd/mac68k port).  It is only netbsd running on macs.  To my knowledge,
FreeBSD doesn't run on macintoshes,  aand a discussion as to whiiiiiiich OS is
'better' is rarely productive and often vindictive.
