Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am attempting to install on a IIsi. The machine has 9M RAM, NetBSD
1.1 has been placed on an Apple 80SC external harddrive (SCSI #1).
Devices were made and the files look ok from the installer(1.0).
fstab is set to mount /dev/sd1a with swap on sd1b (swap is 8 megs at
the moment-- it doesn't need to be larger than memory, does it?), and
kern and proc are there too. It all looks copaceptic to me.
I am booting via booter 1.92 into ADBtest139. As it is booting, the
light on the 80SC comes on when it gets to disk sd1 and again when it
says changing root device to sd1a.
It gets to PRAM and seems to get through that line ok.
If I am booting is single user, it asks for the shell I want. I have
tried: /bin/sh, /bin/csh and plain return all; in any case it just
hangs. Sometimes instead of hanging it gives me:
panic: kernel jump to zerotrap type 1, code = f66d, v= 1a44a39
Extentions and # of colors make no difference.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time,
Henry Ware
