Well, I can't get pine to build. Being a bonehead, I just keep trying:
./build clean
./build neb
<repeat>

Hey, after a while it compiled pico doing this.

So, what am I forgetting? I'm using the GENERIC kernel 64(?) on an SE/30
w/20M of RAM, 120M HD + 44M Syquest.

I also couldn't mount a Zip drive even following the instructions on
www.macbsd.com.
