What does netstat -r say is going on? There should be stuff like:
default otherside-of-ppp
otherside-o-ppp myend-of-ppp
myend-of-ppp localhost
in its output. I think there's a ppp option which will set the default
route up once the ppp unit's up. I'll check tonight.
