I'll be updating the kernel-compiling howto soon, but the gist of it is:

edit /sys/arch/mac68k/conf/GENERIC to your liking
type:
	config CONFIGFILE 
where CONFIGFILE is whatever you name the edited GENERIC file.

then:

	cd ../compile/CONFIGFILE
	make depend; make

then sit back and wait... ;-)

later.
