Not entirely on the NetBSD/mac68k topic... Well, kinda.
I'm looking for a 68851 PMMU for my old, crufty, but free Macintosh II so
I can run NetBSD on it on my network. I have a few questions:
1) Can NetBSD route appletalk or TCP/IP packets between localtalk and
ethernet networks if I stick an Ethernet card in?
2) Where can I find a reasonably priced 68851? The only ones I've seen
cost between $375 and $500, which I feel is just a WEE bit overpriced,
given that that's the going price for a full Mac IIci. Anyone willing to
give me one in exchange for web/ftp/mailing list space and a shell
account on my (don't crucify me) Linux system? (486dx2/66, 22M RAM,
connected full-time with a 28.8 line. idea-inc.com)
I'd really like to get this Mac up and running as a useful and productive
member of my network...
