After working fine for quite a while, the Color kernel won't
boot any more.

Here's what I see:

root on sd1a swap on sd1b
panic allocbuf: buffer larger than MAXBSIZE requested

This sounds familiar from the old days, but I can't remember 
what causes it. 

NetBSD 1.2 boots fine.

Any ideas what might have happened?
