I would suggest MacSOUP (current version 2.2b3) as a general purpose
offline mail and news reader to everyone using the Mac side for reading
mail and news. It is very easy to use and offers filtering to several
mailboxes and lots of stuff. Shareware $20, not written by me, I am just
a satisfied user and don't get no money for advertising ...
