I'm a newbie to NetBSD and UN*X with the following hardware:
Mac IIsi
17 MB RAM
Daystar FastCacheIIsi 64K (PowerCache extension turned off and not loaded)
80 MB Apple/Quantum internal HD (SCSI 0)
240 MB APS/Quantum external HD (SCSI 5)
Zip drive (SCSI 6)

I partitioned a Zip disk with APS PowerTools 2.7.4 (using the directions in
the Zip HOWTO file) and installed the NetBSD netbsd12, base12, etc12, and
man12 binaries without problems. When I try to boot the system, it appears
to load the kernel and then spits out the Zip disk. When I push the Zip
disk back in, the screen goes white and the system hangs right after
displaying the University of California copyright info. A bootlog is
available, but it doesn't seem to indicate anything amiss and ends before
the system hangs.

I'm booting with the following software configuration:
System 7.1
Extensions off
VM off / RAM Doubler off
32-bit addressing on
Video B&W

Can anyone help me solve this problem, please? The FAQ's don't seem to
address this problem.

TIA,

Ted Rowsell
