i am new to this mailing list, although i have been running NetBSD/mac68k
for some time now.. i would guess that you have all went over this, time
and time again, but here goes:
when i ran 1.1 i could get identd to work fine (although i had to do it
manually, not from /etc/inetd.conf -- though that was probably my own
fault) anyways when i upgraded to 1.2, (several kernels, GENERIC, and (the
other one, i cant remember the name right now, heh, not NFS)) identd
wouldnt run.. it seemed like it was forkbombing or something, i tried the
binary that came w/ 1.1 dist and everything, and i just couldnt get it to
work.. it would fork a bunch of times and bring the load up to unbearable
numbers, which isnt difficult on this IIsi.. anyhow, whats the story on
this? and how can i get a patch or whatever is necessary to fix it.. it
accepted connections on port 113 when it ran, and showed up w/ syslogd but
i THINK it just wouldnt send a reply..... ideas? help? thanks!
