With the earlier installers, it blithely stumbles along and tries to
mount, even if it didn't find a root partition(very bad :-(.. ). It's
fixed in Installer 1.1b. How did you create the root partition??
Is it of type "A/UX Root & Usr slice 0"?? Does it occur within the
first 8 partitions of the partition map??
