I think I may have solved part of my problem, rather, I know I have.

With Booter only running on 2,400k and Options-->No ENV dumps ON I
managed to get to the point where the machine is taken over completely
by NetBSD/mac68k and it asks for a PATHNAME to a shell, or hit enter
to choose sh, and it dies.

Well, I am off to read more in the FAQ, but if anyone happens to know
what to do next, or has any hints or suggestions, please feel free to
drop me a line.
