Hi all,
I am experiencing problems (I think) the same as Ricardo
(rmottola@ns.spm.it): I can't print :(
When I do lpr (file) or even ls|lpr I get either
No deamon present
even though ps -ax tells me that lpd is running, or
lp: device unknown
Sure enough, /dev/lp* does not exist. However, according to
/etc/MAKEDEV, there is no way to make lp. I'm sure I'm missing something
here, I just don't know what...
BTW, I don't have the diskspace to compile gs, and anyway, I just want
to be able to print in ASCII.
Thanks in advance,
-Erik
