A friend of mine would like to know if anyone was successful in installing
1.2 on an LCIII: 8mb, 520 external HD, sys 7.5, uhm, a pretty normal
setup.

does he need to use any specific kernels? and should a 1.2 dist install
work ok? if not, how do i go about getting him the -current tarballs? i
have gotten lots of the source i have needed for specific programs to
compile it, but never done a -current install from scratch. any help would
be appreciated. thanks
