First I would like to thank Erik Bertelsen for poviding me with the
Kernel and /sbin/init.
The kernel and /sbin/init didn't worrk (odd I know), however after
having installed the init and the Generic-22 kernel, I now get past the
process (pid1) got signal 10, and get to the following:
Enter Pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:
I press RETURN and get the message below:
Feb 11 19:30:21 init: can't exec /bin/sh for single user: No child
processes.
Feb 11 19:30:21 init: can't exec /bin/sh for single user: No child
processes.
Feb 11 19:30:21 init: can't exec /bin/sh for /etc/rc: No child
processes.
I get basically the same thing if I try typing /bin/csh for my shell
(obviously with csh replacing sh)
I *think* that I should probably reinstall base12, etc12 and comp 12,
then try again. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me
know.....or maybe I should try one of the GenericSBC kernels???
On another interesting note: I re-cooonnected my Apple adjustable
Keyboard and Microspeed 3-button mouse, and they were booth recoognized
fine in the boot process.....<yeah! my id will be happy he gets HIS
keyboard and mouse back now :) >
Thank you all fo all the help so far,
Greg Evans
