Colin,

I have no objection to the parts I added.  The original document is the 
FAQ that was posted on puma a year or so ago and was written by Ken 
Nakata (I think).  It probably needs to be cleaned up and updated a bit 
though.  I wrote it before the last X Server build that Scott did and I 
think some of the instructions are now unnecessary (but harmless).  Also, 
there needs to be something added about dealing with the Xconsole and 
logging to the console terminal.  I thinks that's something Pete Nush and 
I finally figured out but I never bothered to put into the document.  No 
doubt there are a few others who have some additional information they 
could add to this, but it's probably a good starting point.
