No, all Ethernet cards that are supported at this point of time are
accessed through the interface named "ae0", not "ex0". Do you get it
configured at the boot time? Doing "dmesg | grep ^ae0" on your shell
prompt would tell you whether or not.

Oops, I take my word back. If it's not configured, that means the ae
driver doesn't support your hardware. Basically all you can do is
modify the driver to get it to work.
