But will this be the full version of gcc 2.6.x?  I can not use simply a
NetBSD port since, as i said, this machine is Linux.

Perhaps that would be easier...but unfortunately this is not a single user
machine.  It is a dedicated email server and replacing its operating
system at this stage of the game is simply impractical.

Would the whole mess be easier on FreeBSD?  I could always set it up on a
friend's FreeBSD box if I can't get this to work.
