Ok...

FINALLY I got it to boot into multi-user mode with the serial console...

I've dropped the idea of having video and adb working on my 605 for awhile,
so I just continued using a serial console

I set up PPP, but there is a port conflict:

The  605 can only boot off of a serial console if the serial console is
connected to modem port....I can't seem to get it to boot off the printer
port

Would there be any possible way of setting up PPP so the modem is on the
printer port??? If there is, please tell me...
