I've only used another Mac, but it does work. You should be able to
just get a Mac-to-Modem cable, and either a null-modem, or a "Lap-Link"
cable. These beasties are cables with 25-pin and 9-pin DCE connectors
on each end, wired as a null modem. They are made to hook two PC's
together for Lap-Link, so they are null modems. The advantages are:
they have some extra cable in there, and they can work w/ 9-pin serial
PC's.
If you already have a null modem, go for it. But when I was looking at
buying, this thing cost ~$15, which was about the cost of a null modem,
some extra cable, and a 9-to-25 bin serial connector. So I bought something
which would do more than I ever will need. :-)
Take care,
Bill
