I just picked up a LaCie (fujitsu) 640MB MO drive and would like to put
macbsd on a 230MB cartridge. I've partitioned the cartridge into AUX root
and swap and a 40MB mac partition with Silervlining. When I run the latest
mkfs it sees the drive as an optical device, but says:

sd0 at scsi ID 0.
sd1 at scsi ID 1.
scsi ID 2 - not responding to Mode Sense.
scsi ID 3 - not responding to Mode Sense.
scsi ID 4 - not present.
scsi ID 5 - not present.
scsi ID 6 - not present.

sd0 and sd1 are quantum LPS230's one internal, one external. ID 3 is the
internal CD-ROM drive and ID 2 is the MO. the drive selection dialog box
then appears with only ID's 0 and 1 enabled. The older version of Mkfs
(can't find a version#) lets me select the drive, but has no default values
so it craps out, of course. Silverlining can't tell me anything about the
drive geometry either. Has anyone sucessfully installed NetBSD on an MO
drive? Does anybody have any reasonable values for mkfs?
The rest of my system is:
Centris 650 24MB RAM
        2 quantum LPS230 HD's
        1 apple CD-ROM drive
        on board ethernet
        internal video with 14" monitor.
        System 7.1

Thanks.
