I'm not entirely sure if it's mentioned in the FAQ or not, but it doesn't
come up all that often on the mailing list.  However, the answer to your
question is "maybe".  The GENERIC kernels all have the IIci's cache
disabled, so whether it works or not is a bit of a mystery.  It
_shouldn't_ break the system if you built a kernel with the cache enabled
and try to run it, but I don't know quite how stable it would be.  The
IIci's cache is physically addressed, so no real hardware management
should be necessary (it needs to be flushed at boot, but that's about it).
Other than that, it should just work.  If I can find my IIci's cache,
maybe I'll try it and see.
