At one time, we were tweaking low-ram globals, and not restoring them
right.

Ok, everyone. Fess up. How many problems are out there for which folks
haven't sent in PR's???
No one's going to fix a problem we don't know about!
Know (to Bill) problems:
LC040 goofyness
Serial ports on some Power books (the Power manager can turn them off, and
I don't know what happens if there is only one serial port. Nor do I know what happens w/ internal modems)
Serial Console & Echo should be working (modulo above)!
IIvx's have some problems w/ recent booters (hopefully fixed?)
Others?
