Help! (yes, I know you all have heard that one before) ;).

I've got a Quadra 610 (68040 processor), with 36M Ram, 1080MB Quantum HD, 
NEC 4x CD-ROM, using FWB 2.0 drivers for both the HD and CD-ROM and on 
this hardware, I'm running Mac OS 8.  I recently downloaded version 1.2.1 
of NetBSD in an experiment in getting the system up and running with a 
unix based OS, I d/loaded the most recent versions I could find off the 
web-site, formatted and installed everything on a Jaz disk with proper 
partitioning, and when I run the booter, both 1.9.5 and 1.10.0, the 
machine gets to a certain point, and unless I've set the booter to log 
the files, it will eject the jaz and hang the computer altogether.  
Myself and some associates have looked over the log and haven't got any 
firm ideas of why the mac would be locking up, and I was wondering if 
anyone might be able to take a stab at what's making it lock up.  For the 
obvious reasons there is a bootlog included.  

Any help on this would be greatly greatly appreciated.
