I'm trying to get X up and running, now that I have everything else up.
So far, no luck. I have installed the 1.2 version of the X software
(xbase, xcomp, xserver), and I have also tried some other X servers
(xserver.961105 and Xmacbsd.960127 specifically). I have also tried the
old setup (X.11Mar95.tgz). When I type startx, it thinks for a bit, and
then my screen turns all white, and the computer apparently hangs. This
is a IIsi with 17Mb RAM. The FAQ lists I've been able to find don't
seem to address this problem. What have I done wrong?
